Last night at the Special Town Council meeting the Payson Town Manager announced the grant to Payson for a Round-About to be built at Longhorn and McLane Rd. This grant was an emergency appropriation from the State of Arizona. In whose world does a project proposed in 2015 qualify as an emergency? There was no mention of Payson’s monetary contribution to the project. Town staff claims to believe in transparency yet when the facts come out obscurity is the rule of the day.
